NMAETC Programs
Clinical Programs
The NMAETC can assist health care providers across New Mexico by bringing educational programming to your facility. Individualized programs may include, but are not limited to:
- Discussions about the basic science and epidemiology of HIV/AIDS
- Recommendations for routine testing
- Updates on antiretroviral treatment and adverse drug reactions
- Treatment of comorbidities
- Treatment of special populations (youth, pregnant women, elderly, migrant populations)
- Cultural awareness and health disparity issues
CMEs for providers and CEUs for nurses, counselors, and social workers available.
Clinical Consultation
In addition to trainings at your facility, NMAETC physicians with HIV expertise are available for clinical consultations by telephone or e-mail. We are happy to answer HIV questions, discuss cases, or provide technical assistance and resources to improve HIV patient care.
Minisabbatical
One to three day clinical training program consisting of didactic sessions and rotations at various clinical sites in Albuquerque or Denver are available. The training is individualized, to the extent possible, to meet the professional learning goals, practice needs, and interests of the participant.
