About the Pulmonary Medicine Program

Experts in Pulmonary Medicine at the University of New Mexico provide comprehensive services for patients with a variety of lung diseases including asthma, COPD (including emphysema and chronic bronchitis), pulmonary fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, occupational lung diseases, adult cystic fibrosis, and various infectious lung diseases.

Through integration of the latest research findings and extensive experience of our faculty we provide the most up-to-date care for hospitalized patients through inpatient Consultation services, and for outpatients through a number of clinics at locations throughout UNM and its affiliated locations including the Albuquerque VA Medical Center and Sandoval Regional Medical Center.

In addition, our Division provides coordinated, multidisciplinary care for a number of specialized disease entities through programs led by faculty who are nationally recognized in their fields.
