Pulmonary Medicine

Experts in Pulmonary Medicine at the University of New Mexico provide comprehensive services for patients with a variety of lung diseases including asthma, COPD (including emphysema and chronic bronchitis), pulmonary fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, occupational lung diseases, adult cystic fibrosis, and various infectious lung diseases.

Critical Care Medicine

Our experts in Critical Care provide state of the art care for patients with life-threatening illnesses through integration of ongoing research, education, and the clinical expertise of our faculty. Our Critical Care team is nationally known for the care of unusual and newly-recognized critical illnesses including Hantavirus Cardiopulmonary Syndrome, which was identified here at UNM and for which we are internationally known for innovative treatment strategies.

Sleep Medicine

As the state’s only academic healthcare center, UNM provides highly specialized sleep services at the forefront of technology from its Sleep Center.
