Academic Career

Page received her PhD degree in epidemiology from the University of California at Berkeley in 1995 after completing the MPH program in epidemiology and biostatistics at the same institution. She completed her postdoctoral studies at the University of California in San Francisco at the Center for AIDS Prevention Studies in 1998. She also took part in a public health fellowship at Municipal Health Service, Amsterdam in HIV prevention in 1996. She joined the UNM HSC as a professor and division chief in 2014.

Research Interests

Page’s main area of research is studying hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection including epidemiology, prevention and natural history of infection in people who inject drugs (PWID). She has several ongoing studies on HCV research. Her prospective observational cohort of young PWID has had unprecedented success in identifying acute and incident HCV.
